Dana Andrei

Daniela Andrei began her gymnastics journey at the age of five in her hometown of Buzău, Romania. With a strong passion for the sport and unwavering dedication, she earned a place on the Romanian national gymnastics team, representing her country from 2006 to 2013. One of her most notable accomplishments was being part of the team that competed at the 2011 World Championships in Tokyo.

In 2014, Daniela transitioned from athlete to coach, bringing her wealth of experience and enthusiasm for gymnastics to the Darien YMCA. She initially focused on coaching floor routines and choreography, helping young gymnasts develop their technical skills and artistry. Her commitment to fostering a positive and nurturing training environment quickly set her apart.

In 2024, Daniela was promoted to head coach, a role that allows her to continue guiding and mentoring the next generation of gymnasts. With a deep understanding of the sport and a successful track record as both a competitor and coach, she remains dedicated to helping young athletes reach their fullest potential, both on and off the mat.
